About Us

I am a Panhandle girl…born and raised in Amarillo, TX. After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in English, I got into new home sales. Fast forward several years and a toddler and brand-new baby later, I opened Blind Outfitters. That baby is now 25 years old and a labor and delivery nurse. My husband (a soon-to-be retired home builder) and I are very blessed that both our son and daughter live close to us here in Austin. By working from home, I was able to be more involved with my kiddos, as well as continue to keep my prices very competitive without all the overhead!
I love what I do, and I believe in the perfect treatment for every window! Function, light control, heat / cold reduction, and beauty go hand-in-hand in all my designs. Strength and durability are a must. We have a large selection for you to choose from, including everything from blinds, shades, and custom shutters to drapery, solar film, and outdoor motorized shades. As a Hunter Douglas Showcase Dealer, we also offer the Alustra line of Hunter Douglas products, which are in a class all their own!
